School Nutrition Leader
Dates Needed: Ongoing
Locations: Maryland, Florida, New Orleans, Michigan
Tasks: Teaching nutrition activities after and/or during school, coordinating community youth-led events
Requirements: Someone who is passionate about nutrition, youth education, and great administrative skills.
Time Commitment: Expected Hours: 5-15 per month
Ideal volunteer is someone that is passionate about nutrition, health education and has current or previous experience working with schools, teachers and community partners. Background check will be required.
Virtual Healthy Culinary Coaches
Dates Needed: Ongoing
Locations: Virtual
Tasks: Teaching culinary techniques, sharing healthy recipes, responding to culinary Q&A’s
Requirements: A person passionate about cooking, healthy living, and youth education. Comfortable hosting online video chats.
Time Commitment: 2+ hours / month
If you’re a chef, or someone that loves to cook and wants to help kids learn how to cook healthier, this is for you. Tasks include, hosting live cooking techniques classes, hosting Q&A’s and monitoring online community groups to answer culinary related questions and inspire healthy recipe development. Background check is required.
Nutrition Coaches (Virtual Volunteer)
Dates Needed: Ongoing
Locations: Virtual
Tasks: Teaching nutrition tips, leadership advice, and contributing to online groups.
Requirements: A person passionate about nutrition, healthy living, and youth education. Comfortable communicating in online groups and Facebook.
Time Commitment: 2+ hours / month
If you’re a nutritionist, Registered Dietitian, Culinary Nutrition Expert, or nutrition education teacher and wants to help kids learn about nutrition, this is for you. Tasks include, hosting nutrition classes, hosting Q&A’s and monitoring online community groups. Background check is required.
#BossKidsCook Social Media Coordinator
Dates Needed: Ongoing
Locations: Virtual
Tasks: Interviewing #BossKidsCook Leaders, managing social media platforms.
Requirements: A person who can inspire good through crafted words and wants to use this to inspire and excite kids to cook healthy!
Time Commitment: 4+ hours / week
Individuals gifted in communication, writing and connecting with individuals online and will enjoy using their talents to inspire, teach and engage kids to cook healthy.
EKCC Board Member
Dates: Opening Available
Locations: Maryland, New Orleans, Atlanta
Tasks: Supporting the vision and mission of Every Kid Can Cook
Requirements: A person who is committed to using their talents and network to advance of Every Kid Can Cook’s mission.
Time Commitment: 5+ hours / month
Individuals with experience, skillset or have a passion for nutrition, youth leadership, fundraising/development, legal, and marketing. Background checks will be required.
